(country french magazine)

I have been thinking about re-doing my bedroom lately and wanted to change the color on the walls.
Must be all the inspiration I have been finding on some of these blogs I have been visiting!
Right now, my bedroom is painted a yellow- kind of custom because when we got the yellow, it was waaaaay tooo yellow- bright....not mellow and pretty and cheery.
So I kept adding other colors to soften it until something worked. So we have kept it the same since adding the bedroom on- I was just thinking maybe it was time for a change...
I was thinking of several different colors and ideas- I'll blog about the bedroom soon-

For now, I had to share these~

I went to the store the other day and picked up one of my very favorite magazines-

Country French!
I wait for this magazine!! I LOVE it!!

I also picked up Rooms of Bliss by Victoria Magazine.
These are compilation magazines so I think they only come out a few times a year.
But oh my!! SO worth the wait!

Just when I was putting paint chips on the wall-
look at all the
yellow toned bedrooms I found!!

Makes me re-think changing the color!!!
The magazines are gorgeous through-out and have such drool-worthy pictures and homes.
Oh my! LOVE it!

  1. Ooooh! I'll have to check out that Country French Magazine. Looks awesome! You also have a wonderful knack of decorating that is MAGAZINE WORTHY! Keep up the great work, and keep those posts coming!
    Be blessed,

  2. Oh I do know how we all think we need a change every once in a while, however your yellow room is just stunning and it is such a NOW color. Love those books too. I need to treat myself. Hugs, Marty

  3. What beautiful rooms you found! I love soft yellow bedrooms - they can be so calm and romantic. Maybe change everything else and you'll be glad you left the yellow. You have exquisite taste in decorating so I can't wait to see what do end up doing.
    :) Sarah

  4. Hi! I bought the previous issue of Country French and it is now very dog-eared! So gorgeous! Thanks for the other inspirational pics as well. If you want to, I would love it if you would link this post up to my "Inspiration Friday" party!
    Blessings to you,

  5. Ohhhhhhhhh, that French Country looked cool...but I gulped at the price...but I may rethink my cheapy-osity! ;}

    m ^..^

  6. Thanks for your comments- I know what you mean about the price- you could buy some books on Amazon for the cost of the magazines! But have you checked Costco or Sams Club? I got Country French there at 30% off the list price- so instead of $9.99- it was around $7.00 and the Rooms to Inspire was even less-around $5.00. Much better price for some inspiration!!! :)

  7. I love my other issues of Country French magazine and have been waiting for another one to come out. I am headed to Costco tomorrow!
I love your bedroom and if you ever decide to get rid of the settee you must give me first dibs! Hugs, Sherry

  8. I have never seen a Country French magazine! I will have to look for one. You bedroom is beautiful. I understand after having it one way for a long time, I feel a need to change. Usually it is about 10 years for me!!

  9. I've got to try and find the Country French magazine here in Canada. I do have an older issue but I don't remember where I purchased it. I have a magazine addiction and scour so many stores, looking for the magazines that I see on others' blogs. I'm sure whatever you decide to do with your room - it will be lovely!

  10. I have one of those magazines and I love it!! My husband is going to make a built-in cabinet like one I saw there. You do such a beautiful job, that whatever you choose will be perfect!!

  11. Oh, I am so glad yellow is not out; I am planning to do this damask paint treatment in our master bedroom in a similar two-tone yellow.
    ~ Julie

  12. I'm so glad I saw this post, I'm going out TOMORROW and buying this mag!!! Straight to Barnes and Noble I go! :)

  13. How did I ever not find you before! I am loving your blog and inspiration pics! They are divine!! Where can you buy the Country French Magazine? I just looked for it on line and nothing pops up. Thanx for sharing your beautiful home with us all!
