FEATHERED NEST FRIDAY

I love geraniums...
in pretty pinks, bold reds, salmon colors and soft whites..
I love them.
I plant both upright and ivy geraniums in my window boxes on the house
and in planters through out the yard.
In hanging baskets and little clay pots...
gorgeous.
They always bring such a burst of pretty color and leafy texture.

This red geranium looks quite at home on the sideboard don't you think?

Some of the plants came inside with the cold and snow this week but have
all made their way back outside into the warm sunshine today.
(Must be time for a sideboard redesign again)

Either lots of allergies or a bug sidelined me a bit this week
so I haven't gotten too much feathering done around my nest to share with you
but I do have a bunch of projects on the ever growing list to get started
or finished that I hope to be sharing soon.
:)

So let's get onto the party~

  9. I didn't plant any geraniums this year so I especially love yours. Don't you just hate it when you plant outdoors and then it gets cold and you have to bring it back inside? Many a time I have thrown old sheets on blooming plants to save them. Thanks so much for hosting this fun party. ~

  24. Courtney, I've loved geraniums since I was a child. Love the fragrance and the little bouquets of flowers on each stem. I have mostly white ones planted in our garden with a few reds in pots. The red seem to be better bloomers. They are still covered in blooms, but the whites not so much. Thanks for sharing and for hosting each week. ~ Sarah

  49. I love geraniums also we always have them somewhere in the garden and usually on the porch. Did you know you can let them winter in your basement and bring them out the next Spring? Before the first frost pull them up and place them in a box or brown paper bag. (pull all the leaves off). Plant them the next year and they will leaf out and start to bloom in about four weeks.

LOVE the red on the sideboard -- lovely!
