and start enjoying the outoors as soon as we can be in the Spring and stay outside
all the way until it starts snowing.
We recently finished that big old rock fireplace that is in a newer outdoor entertaining area of our yard.
It’s a covered patio~ that we designed so that we had an area that was sheltered from the
hot hot hot Summer sun and that would keep us dry when it rained ~
I love the new covered structure~ which I will share more of very soon~
but it’s framing is somewhat ‘manly’ so to speak with chunky wood ‘legs’ and lines.
I wanted to make those chunky lines a bit softer.
So I turned to Lowes and one of my favorites to work with to do that.
One of my favorite things about drop cloths is that you can get them in different sizes
I found one that was the right length and that had enough width
to make the panels that I needed for the new area.
Simple & easy and such a difference in the feeling of the ‘room’.
I love how they turned out and with the fireplace for when it gets a little chilly
we can close the drapes and keep more of the warmth in
and it’s not quite ready for the full reveal yet- so stay tuned.
I will be doing is serving dinner outside-
which means some cleaning is in order.
So I was excited that
sent outdoor cleaning supplies to the Lowes Creative Ideas network members.
I have to admit…
I was most excited to see the magic erasers.
Magic Erasers are one of my favorites to use in the kitchen and bathrooms
and this one is for outside. I already tried them out on the bistro chairs and table for a quick wipe down
which are sold exclusively at Lowes-
so that you can try them out for yourself!
and you will be entered to win!

Courney, I'm already a follower and would love to check out the cleaning supplies, but most of all, I'd like to know what you used to hand your panels on the covered patio. I have wanted to do this in two houses we've owned, but wasn't sure how to cover that much expanse with no walls for support in the centers.

It's funny you mention drop cloths. As we speak I'm having chair slip covers made out of that very fabric! I found a lady on Etsy who is doing them and I'm excited to see them.
I am having them done to "tone down" my very formal Chippendale chairs in the dining room. Going more casual!

I love what you did with yours. I bought mine in the markdown pile at the home improvement store and I'm planning on using them as curtains for my son's room. That is… if I don't steal them first for some other project. Glad to see the Magic Erasers. I'm addicted to them. I buy in bulk because I go through so many of them. Best wishes!
