Last week on Friday I was on a plane on my way back home from the Big Apple
reflecting on a fun filled trip with great memories and new friends.
Just a few days earlier, I hopped on a plane headed to NYC for a couple of days for the
Annual HomeGoods Blogger day
If you follow me over on Instagram~ you know some of what was going on
but here's a little recap
I arrived in the evening on Wednesday and headed over to check into the Gansevoort Hotel

I arrived in the evening on Wednesday and headed over to check into the Gansevoort Hotel
and then met up with the other California bloggers who had arrived that evening as well.
It was early for those of us on California time so the three of us headed out for dinner.
Joan and Cathy felt like they were long lost friends by the time we were done eating
and we made plans to meet (not too early) in the morning for breakfast.

we had some free time before meeting up with other bloggers and the HomeGoods team
and so the three of us headed out to explore the city.
and so the three of us headed out to explore the city.
Joan had been to NY before so she knew where to take us in Manhattan
and she graciously put up with Cathy and I snapping photos every 2 minutes
We walked and walked and walked and laughed and laughed and laughed.
We walked and walked and walked and laughed and laughed and laughed.
Between kicking our heels up in Times Square
(yes, we were falling over as we were laughing)
enjoying NY style pizza for lunch
and doing a little shopping while exploring the city
we had so much fun.
we had so much fun.
(yes, you might be a California girl if you wear your sunglasses on your head
all.the.time.and don't even realize it.)
Crazy right?
Seriously, I could have sat there and stared at the gorgeous architecture and details for hours.

That evening we met the other HomeGoods bloggers, the HomeGoods team
and their social media team and off we went to dinner where we spent the evening
chatting and laughing. They are a FUN group for sure and it was so nice to be able to meet
in person and really get to know them. One of the other bloggers
you might know is Inspired By Charm

we learned the ropes of how the newly redesigned HomeGood blog would work
and learned about some of the behind the scenes stuff and about the new blog layout, details, etc.
They have done an amazing job on the new design!
We all enjoyed a delicious lunch, then had our headshot photos taken for the blog (yikes!)
and then there was a little surprise for us.
The incredible Grace Bonney of Design Sponge was their guest speaker

She spoke about blogging and finding balance, mistakes, and her top ten tips. Amazing.
The blogger day was fantastic~ super inspiring, filled with info & exciting ~
I can hardly wait to start blogging with HomeGoods.
After we wrapped up the day- it just so happened to be the three of us crazy California girls

together in the car on the way back to the airport-
so of course, we ended the trip with lots of laughter too.
More details to come about the new blog as it gets closer to it's launch this Spring for now,

How fun! Thank you SO much for sharing photos from your trip, including the nice ones of you! :-) I feel like I was there. It looks carefree and happy.
