A few simple things...

There is something to be said for simple.
Though I am not always drawn to the most simple of things- sometimes
simple vignettes are absolutely beautiful and inspire a few photos

Like a single bloom that has fallen from the bouquet
and landed on the pages of an old book

or a thrift store basket that is filled
with clippings from the garden for a dinner party.

Stacked dishes on a table instead of formal place settings

with mis-matched flatware  - polished or not
and perfect either way

or just a few blooms in a small vintage bottle on a rustic birch table.

Sometimes the vignettes that inspire me and that I love the most
are the most simple

Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend & Happy Easter!

  3. simple and beautiful.
keeping it simple is not only beautiful, but ti adds to the ability for both the hosts and guests to be more relaxed and enjoy the day more comfortably.

ps: mismatched silverware is my favorite. i started doing that in the late 70's and still love the look. if one piece gets damaged or lost or starts to lose the silver plate, easy to replace love your blog. happy easter!

  10. Lovely vignettes, it all looks so calm & welcoming. I did the same thing yesterday with white Lilac, but the blooms don't look too happy, very droopy.( Any tips for a Lilac bloom in a bottle, I notice you have removed all the leaves, does that help ? )
