You know, sometimes you find inspiration in the strangest places.
Like something that is covered in scratches and rust
but that has that perfect old charm that just simply talks to you.
Like an old tobacco tin found on a shelf in a thrift store
It’s a bit on the shabby side- with a lot of old scratches and dings
that have picked up some rust and grunge over the years
I loved it because its coloring and design were so simple
and even though it was well worn- it was talking to me
and even though it was well worn- it was talking to me
Of course the first thing I saw being it used for when I picked it up
was the perfect shabby little container for flowers.
Since the inside is fairly rusted- a little jar filled with water for the flowers
was all that was needed.
These lisianthus and freesia were almost ready to dry
when I photographed them but so pretty nonetheless.
I am back from High Point Market and catching up on work and projects
but have so much inspiration to share with you in the coming weeks!
Hope your week has been going great!

You certainly have an eye for finding beauty in odd pieces but they work out beautifully. The tin looks fantastic with the flowers. Very creative — but again it takes that special person to see the potential.
