What is it about a hammock that invites afternoon naps in the warm sun
and evening conversations under the stars?
That gets your foot swinging just a bit to rock it gently back and forth
with the sound of nature all around you, that inevitably,
lulls you to sleep for just a few minutes?
I might be a little obsessed with outdoor living and romantic outdoor living ~ even more so.
One of my favorite things about relaxing outdoors is how the sounds of nature
are like a soft music playing in the background.
The birds singing and the squirrels running through the branches of the trees
chattering while gathering acorns.
And in the early evening, when the sun is just a soft glow
the sound of the frogs and crickets as they start chirping in the pond.
It invites you stay just a little longer and enjoy it just a little more.
Since I am a big time Summer girl, I am embracing the warm September days and
what better way to do that than to create a little spot in the yard for relaxing?
You might remember that I mentioned I was shopping for a new hammock recently
and this fringed hammock was a perfect find.
I love anything with a little something-something-
so a hammock with fringe? Yes, please.
Fringed hammocks exude charm all on their own
with their sassy little crochet blowing in the breeze.
But with just a few additions like
romantic cottage florals,
chunky throws
and sweet ruffled pillows to snuggle in with
that hammock becomes something even more charming and inviting.
So, if you need me this weekend and have looked around in all the usual spots
but you can’t find me anywhere, well,
I might be hiding out in the hammock.
Relaxing, rejuvenating and yes, maybe even napping
😉
Happy Friday everyone

What a wonderful place to spend hours and hours!! I love this time of year — cool but not cold and the mornings are crisp. The afternoon brings that warmth that envelopes you like the hammock. Are you reading anything out there??

I can imagine laying in that hammock looking up at the beautiful Fall blue sky, watching the clouds float by sipping on my diet Coke. Thanx for sharing. XX

I am in love with your hammock!! So beautiful…the pictures make me want to just be in them. When I have a yard some day, a hammock will definitely be one of the first things I'll get for it!

I'm Pinning your hammock to remind me to add fringe to mine someday. School's started and I noticed that Life suddenly got too busy for me to find time to relax with a good book in my hammock. Sad–but there's always next year! I'm glad you are still enjoying the wonderful weather in yours.
