It is Christmas Eve.
The trees are twinkling, candles glowing, Christmas music is playing
and the cookies have already been nibbled on.
And all my big kids are home which is the best.
Have you ever noticed that everything seems to be sprinkled with a bit of magic around this time?
Maybe it is the twinkle of trees filling the rooms with that warm glow
the flickering candles
or the heavy scent of fresh cut greens in the air.
But I think it might be the family and friends and
laughter that fills the house
and the memories of Christmas past
that come with the smell of Grammy’s recipe potato casserole
baking in the oven.
What ever it is-
there is something in the air that fills the house with joy.
And though I start Christmas early over here, every year around this time,
I start to feel a little sad that it is already here.
And I want to soak in every bit of that Christmas wonder
and savor it.
I also find myself reflecting a bit.
And I am so grateful for my family
and the wonder filled blessings in my life.
And that includes all of you.
I am so grateful for each of you taking the time to come over and say hello
and be a part of my blog all year long.
I love blogging and photography and am so thankful to have found a spot to indulge in those loves
and share them with you- and that you enjoy it enough to follow along and encourage me.
It really means so much to me and while I am reflecting- I am looking ahead.
And I am so excited about sharing so many things with you in 2017.

Merry Christmas! Everything is so gorgeous! I would love to know the color of the tree in the first photo. It looks completely gold in the photo, which might be illumination. It is glorious!

Courtney, I never tire of looking at your home and the ways that you decorate it. I have especially enjoyed all the things you've shared over the holiday season. Your decor and Christmas trees are very different than anything I have used in my home, but it's so much fun to see the talent of another person to bring to life the look that they envision.
Thanks so much for sharing and I hope your Christmas was all that you hoped!
