I am one of those people who thinks that outdoor living rooms
should be as welcoming and comfortable and as much your style
as your indoor living rooms are.
And for me, that means sprinkling a bit of warmth and romantic touches
with blush and gold.
It is no secret that I am a big fan of outdoor living-
and you can pretty much find me playing with table settings and relaxing outdoors
almost all year long.
And today I am sharing a simple styling for a new living area
with Birch Lane.
And if you are coming over from Dear Lillie and her gorgeous space- welcome!
And I have a little secret confession.
These photos are not from this month or last month
or even this year.
I know.
I actually worked on this styling last autumn.
Before the months of nonstop rain in California.
Before Christmas.
It was back in November and it was chilly and drizzly
and I decided I better style and grab these photos quick before a major storm moved in.
And even though
I LOVED how it turned out and wanted to share it with you
right away…
I was sworn to secrecy.
But I am super excited to be sharing a look at this new area with you today
and it all started with a couple of large main pieces-
this gorgeous teak sofa
this gorgeous teak sofa
and coffee table.
And that sofa?
On top of being such a beautiful piece-
it is SO. comfortable.
I also love that it is neutral -and has simple lines and details-
and that those slipcovers are removable and washable.
I also love that these pieces are teak- which is a type of wood that I absolutely love.
It will weather to a beautiful silvery gray- which is as gorgeous as that fresh wood look.
On the table- simple entertaining pieces such as those favorite wine stems
a bouquet and charming little dessert plates ready for guests.
I love these little plates.
There are 4 different plates with charming scenes.
Busy bees and hives.
Simple charming pots filled with seasonal flowers
and a little olive tree help round out the area.
And yes, blush and amethyst are on repeat with throws & pillows
and flowers and wine stems.
And I am loving it- especially with the weathered wicker.
So what do you think of this new area?
