Vintage French inspired cabinet

Oh yes... patina speaks to me.

Pieces with chippy paint,
hand rubbed finishes
old silvery boards
and layer upon layer of goodness.

I might be mildly obsessed with everything patina.
Patina adds so much charm and character to a space.

And this piece definitely has a ton of charm and character.
I am smitten with these rubbed off layers.

And that bare wood.

When I saw this gorgeous cabinet that was covered in carvings and layer upon layer of soft faded paint at Soft Surroundings- it went right into the cart.
It was one of those 'must haves' and
to be honest, I wasn't sure where I would put it when it arrived-
I just knew I loved it.

Yes, it was on the lawn for a few minutes when it arrived- great photo spot right?
haha..
but currently - it is in the dining room.
And I am loving it dressed simply with just seltzer bottles or buckets of blooms.

And since it hasn't found it's home just yet- I am sharing just a peek of it today.

But I am planning to move it to the bedroom... maybe...
or maybe my office...
I haven't decide where it will go just yet
but I do know I am loving it.

You can find it on sale HERE
and stay tuned to see just where this beauty lands.
:)

And I wanted to say thank you so much for all your comments, emails and notes about my book-
I appreciate all of your kind words so much!

Happy Wednesday everyone.

Disclosure:
I partnered with Soft Surroundings to share this gorgeous beauty with you
but all opinions are my own.

  5. It is a lovely buffet ~ just the right size to fit in somewhere small. It would be lovely in your bedroom but equally wonderful in your office. Perhaps holding papers and files? Still love your old chest you are using as a nightstand/dresser in your MBR. It's a twin to a long dresser we brought in from the trash area at the apartments we lived at down in Del Mar when I was pregnant with my now 25 year old daughter Amy. It became her baby dresser/changing table.

Have a great time at Haven! 💕
