Dreaming of days at the beach…
my toes in the warm sand
Sandcastles and starfish and salty sea air…
This is an older post- but since I am about DONE with snow after the pergola incident
( see my recent post if you missed it.. ugh…)
I thought I would share this dreaming of summer at the beach tablescape –
So … shall we?
I set the table with the crusty chippy shell mirror and creamy white seashell dishes
Added some seashells & petite starfish
The wood cutout ‘SEA’ sign –
is recycled from knotty pine boards that came out of our house
and a beach cottage sign from my bedroom
Rustic wicker candleholders glow warmly in the fading early evening light
and two large shell bowls hold shells and a ceramic starfish.
Little bamboo placemats I bought years ago for a hawaiian themed party worked out perfectly.
Beach colored glass candle holders that usually sit among the plants in the garden beds
brought in some shades of blues…
A single starfish top each napkin.
a few dried hydrangeas nestled in
The lavender plant brings a silvery hue
(I love lavender!!!)
in the silver bin underneath the ‘Seaside Resort’ sign-
they were almost like a grassy background
I added a tall candelabra for some drama for this picture and faded out the color.
I love the muted shades in this~
Makes me think of weathered,
Sandy beaches,
driftwood,
faded boardwalks.
I can almost smell the glorious
fresh sea air!
Feathered Nest Friday coming your way~
Link will be up Thursday evening.
Hope to see you there!

Dear Courtney – What a fantastic table you've set! All the elements work so well together and I can imagine you sitting there with the sound of the ocean in the background. (Okay, if there really isn't an ocean in the background, how about one of this lovely CD's with the sounds of crashing waves, lol). I love your seashell dishes – very beautiful! Have a wonderful week.
