Thank you for the award Lisa! 🙂
Onto Rachel’s tag! Thanks Rachel! 🙂
She posed 7 questions to me-
here they are!
* Where do you currently live?
I live in Northern California in a little cottage
I am a California girl through and through- I grew up in the S.F. bay area.
I LOVE it in California!
*Are you living in your dream home? Or are you dreaming of the home you will live in someday?
I do dream about a beautiful, gracious home someday…but this cottage house has also become much more home than I ever imagined it would.
Everywhere you look there are pieces of us here.
All the work, remodeling, planning, etc.
This house reflects me in so many ways and hold so many memories within it’s walls.
So though I imagine we will move at some point- closer to the beach and some warmer weather- it will be hard to leave this home.
*Where do you draw most of your inspiration from for your home decor?
I draw most of my inspirations from my favorite designers-
Charles Faudree & Rachel Ashwell.
Charles Faudree’s designs speak to me on so many levels… he is the french country king and he loves red- My favorite color!
Rachel Ashwell’s soft serene style is welcoming and I love faded, painted chippy things as well
I guess I am a mix!
*If you could change something about yourself what would you change?
My self doubt.
You know the movie “what about Bob”?
I am kind of like the female version of Bob…
You know the movie “what about Bob”?
I am kind of like the female version of Bob…
you know, baby stepping my way…
*What is your biggest accomplishment?
My children.
They are incredible and I am so proud of them.
That we all stick together and are there for each other when we need to be.
Plus- we are kind of crazy so we laugh a lot. Watching my family sing karaoke together is insanely fun
Plus, I love that each of us is right there ready and willing to help if need be.
It has been an emotional couple of years for me- my grandmother who I am extremely close to- has dementia. Since she lives up here in this area, I have been doing much of the caregiving.
My family (kids too) has been there pitching in, running errands, staying out at her house with me at night when I needed to and just helping with everything.
Plus, they know that sometimes I need to cry – and my boys pretty much just get out of the way and let me get it out!
🙂
*What do you think your family loves the most about you?
Kind of a hard one for me actually.
I think possibly different for each family member, you know?
I guess I would hope that they love knowing that I am someone who is always going to love them, no matter what and be on their side in this world…
and we are a crazy group of people on my side of the family,
so, I think they love my goofiness & sense of humor!
Okay, now I am supposed to keep this going and send it along to 7 friends out there in blogland!

Hi Courtney ~ Love your post and all the little tidbits of information about yourself. Funny, I always like hearing personal things about people from Blogland, guess it makes them seem more 'real' then just someone a few 'clicks' away. Now that you've tagged me … I'm going to have to start contemplating my answers! Thanks ~ take care!

Great post, loved reading a little bit more about you. My dad had Alzheimers so I know how hard that can be.

What fun to learn a little bit more about you!
And I am sending a very big hug your way — my mother had Alzheimer's, so I understand what your family is going through. It is a very tough road; if you ever need an ear, I'm here.
Blessings — Cass
