A quiet spot to sit.
To pause for a few moments and to reflect.

Setting a table in the garden,
amongst the grasses & trees & nature
feels peaceful.
A sweet spot for a cup of coffee
and a little pause for conversation
amidst the daily doings.

Or a little place to just sit for a spell
to take in the chattering of the birds,
and the smell of the fresh cut grass
and blooming flowers.

A sweet bunch of dried lavender
tied with twine
and
a bouquet of garden flowers in a vintage vase on the table.

I am rebelling against the earlier and earlier starts each year.
It feels like Summer just began and it's already back to school.
We just returned from Santa Cruz
We squeezed in a beach day before school started up this morning.
The weather was beautiful
and the beach was wonderful as always.
I love to sit in the sand and stare out at the vastness of the sea
listen to sounds of the waves
and breathe in the fresh salty air.
Leaving the beach and coming home
was harder than usual this time.

So trying to catch a few quiet moments
here and there
See you this afternoon for
Feathered Nest Friday
