You know I love roses.
Pale pink, edged in green-
so yummy!
I found this darling little old bottle
of 'bluing' solution-
All streaked and stained
and it even has a chunk of bluing
dried up in the bottom of it.
Apparently that's what they used to whiten
clothes back in the day.
Love the partial label that is left on the jar.

Love it.
Right now, I am Las Vegas Baby!

ReplyDeleteYou're right, those roses ARE divine. They still make bluing, you know. I've purchased it to use in sculptures to die plaster, but I've never used it on fabric. I'm sure you could 'blue' some bottles with the same product! andrea@townandprairie

Oh my goodness~~We were in Las Vegas at the same time!
ReplyDeleteMy husband took me away for my 50th Birthday..had a romantic dinner in the Eiffel tower, met Barbara Eden "I dream of Jeannie" at a wonderful art gallery...
You know we could have bumped into each other and never knew?
