Not long ago
I was running around like crazy
gathering up pieces of white dishes for a special project
that I was pressed to get finished.
Tureens, pitchers, platters, creamers, sugars, teapots & coffee pots,
If it was white… and if it was the right price… I brought it home.
I found most of the pieces over several weeks at different thrift stores- the smalls were usually
.50-$1.00 and most of the larger pieces were not more than $5 or $10.

I also picked up a couple gorgeous pieces from HomeGoods as well- at fantastic prices.
Love the mix of old and new
I didn’t really care about the markings or if they even had any- or crazing, chips, etc.
I didn’t really care about the markings or if they even had any- or crazing, chips, etc.
I paid more attention to the shape
or on the shelf of the new built in bookcases out in the guest cottage.
One by one I brought pieces home and placed them just so
until this bookshelf was full.
Then I stepped back
and sighed
My ran around like a crazy woman- looked like it had been collected for years-
white ware collection was perfect.
I am just loving it.
I’ll share more about how we built this bookcase & the matching one
on the other side of the room soon.
Little pumpkins have started popping up around the house
so I wanted to share this bookshelf before sharing it’s new look for Fall.
Stay tuned
Beautiful!! Love all of the white dishes.

Gorgeous! White makes quite a statement when grouped together so beautifully.
so so so pretty and elegant. those whisper pink roses don't hurt either!
This is just BEAUTIFUL! You made me smile! Thanks for a lovely end to my day! xo, kimberly
This post is music to my ears (and eyes). I am not one to collect white dishes based on who made it or what it's made of but rather how it looks and what it costs. And….you did just that and got beautiful results! Such a breath of fresh air when everyone else is running around so concerned with "the label" and yet noone even sees that when it's being displayed. Love your new collection!
Gorgeous Courtney!Your collection looks beautiful and does look like you have collected over the years. You are lucky to find so many so quickly! I have only been collection for a year and have a good size too.I love those tureens.I have not found many as pretty as yours!Your ladder looks beautiful next to your book case too!

Hello Courtney, I did something similar earlier this summer. I was putting all my white pitchers together for a project – I hadn't thought of combining all white collectibles…there's something uniquely beautiful about all white. Love the bookcase too! Looking forward to reading about how you made these.
Have a fantastic week,
Kathy
That is amazing, did they all make the cut? Or did you edit out some?
Beautiful, thank you for sharing : )
Stunning!! That is beautiful collection. I will definitely be watching out for the the post about building the bookcase.

I love it, Courtney! You now have a beautiful collection of whites and you did it on a dime! It looks so pretty against the bead board and with the touches of flowers. I look forward to seeing some of your fall things!

Jane
Oh yes, really lovely, and I love that you told the awesome truth about whites not needing to be antique ironstone, worth its weight in gold … this collection is awesome!!
Gorgeous, Courtney! I only wish I had this much room to show off some white pieces. You did a great job pulling this collection together over a short period of time. It does look like a collection that came together over many years.
Oh, Courtney…I can't even tell you how gorgeous your collection is. I adore anything white…in fact, I repainted my bedroom white today, and I love it!

Gorgeous – I have just recently begun to collect white dishes. I now can see what an impact they make. Can't wait until my collection is complete….
I love this! White dishes are so pretty; elegant in their simplicity! I love the picture that shows your "new" orchard ladder! The juxtaposition of the sleek white with the aged wood is such a nice mix! Always love reading your blog posts and admiring the photos! Thank you! Hugs, Leena

What a gorgeous post and collection. I wish we had thrift stores in NJ like you have. They just aren't around and if they are many of them have junk. Good thing I have a great selection of Home Goods to go to.
Cynthia
Stunning, absolutely stunning.
Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautiful collection of "whites" I've ever seen. It is absolutely dreamy and that's exactly what I'm doing … dreaming about it as though it were mine. As always, your photography is just as wonderful. Thanks for this incredible post.
Diane
Your white collection of dishes are just beautiful….I am "sighing" too!….You have done such a fantastic job of displaying the gorgeous collection.
I'm sitting here just sighing away, Courtney. 🙂 Everything you touch you magically turn it beautiful!!!

Your pictures are always so inspiring! I could spend all day looking back thru your blog.
Thanks for the inspiration! Sometimes I get hung up on buying 'high quality' items for a collection and because of the expense, my collection grows very slowly. This looks so beautiful, you would never guess that some of these pieces cost just 50 cents! Gorgeous!
Looks stunning….. Am at the Round Top Show and have not seen a prettier display…. Well Done!
still am on those little white flowers from yest. post. is there any way you can tell us what they are???? would be truly grateful, as im sure others would also.:)
So simply gorgeous, Courtney–I especially love that fluted and lidded tureen on the bottom shelf! Going to a thrift store that has a half-off everything sale tomorrow–yay!
So beautiful… I love white dishes too…and I love the old ladder and dried flowers on it!
