Thought I should probably share the Fall that has appeared at our house this week
since it will probably be changing pretty quickly.
We are planning a little Halloween party this year
and my daughter is already dragging out the Halloween stuff
and we will be starting to put up some of the spooky decor next week.
So for just a little bit before the creepies and crawlies, spiders, rats, owls

and all things ghoulish arrive...
My living room mantel is enjoying being
simple, quiet and understated covered in neutrals and soft colors
My living room mantel is enjoying being
simple, quiet and understated covered in neutrals and soft colors
but I always tend to gravitate towards using natural decoration
like leaves, grasses & flowers
So while on a walk last week,
my daughter and I gathered some dried grasses

They were perfect.
I also added in a few peach edged white roses
in bloom as well.
in bloom as well.
A piece of a weathered broken crate box was perfect
for a few small bunches of dried flowers

It seems like bits and pieces from nature are some of my favorite
go to elements for decorating no matter what the season or room.
The dried roses have been amazing me this year~
they almost look like paper they are so perfectly dried.
Absolutely love them.
So simple, but perfect to enjoy for a few days
before we break out all the Halloween decor and a few orange pumpkins start appearing.
:)

ReplyDeleteDear Courtney, I do not know what to say (or write), I am speechless. Love the pastel beauty, all those roses combined with pieces from nature makes the WAW autumn mantel. Renata

ReplyDeleteWell, Courtney...you truly helped me today with my autumn decorating dilemma. :) I've been stumped as to how to incorporate my weekly rose obsession with pumpkins. It just didn't seem right to me. But the vignettes you created are just so natural and romantic and beautiful. I had pin a couple photos so I could refer to them. So thank you, sweetie - for inspiring me!
