With the 4th of July entertaining and parties coming up
I love to have a recipe that uses fresh ingredients
is easy to prepare and delicious too, of course.

Like a fresh salsa.
I am a salsa kind of girl- so for me- it is perfect for setting out to enjoy as an appetizer.

The best salsa is fresh in my opinion~ and it is so simple to make in just a few minutes
I don’t do technical, majorly detailed recipes for entertaining.
I want to enjoy visiting with guests and relax
so simple and easy entertaining recipes are the way to go.
Salsa is open to interpretation- more heat, less heat
a little corn or bean addition- etc. Have fun with it and make it your own.
Here is a favorite recipe of ours
Tomato- yellow, red, orange
serrano chile
serrano chile
cilantro
onion
fresh minced garlic
lime or lemon juice
sprinkling of sea salt (optional)
sprinkling of sea salt (optional)
You can also add:
cut whole corn
whole black beans
chunks of fruit
Simply chop your ingredients and mix them together.
Note:
The fresh garlic is optional- we love fresh garlic on anything and everything so for us-
it’s going in the salsa too
We use a whole head of garlic as well-
ahem…watch out vampires. 😉

If you would like to use fresh garlic- simply keep it small and chunky and mix it in.
The Serrano chile has a little bit of warmth- not too much
but if you want a super mild
chile- you can choose something different.
After mixing everything together- squeeze the lime or lemon juice into it
and sprinkle your salt if you are using it and mix again.
You can start enjoying right away or chill
I recommend tasting to make sure it is to your liking and then

cover and chill it for a bit to let the flavors really mingle
Pair with a bowl of tortilla chips or use as a salsa on a tortilla salad or burrito
It is perfect easy and fresh appetizer
Enjoy!

It looks delicious — a lot like what we make. I guess it is a matter of throwing together some good ingredients and then it's dig in. Beautiful pics!!
