A Random Saturday post
on the Saturday before Christmas.
There is definitely a whole lot of running around,
rocking around the Christmas tree,
cooking, cleaning
and yes, even some last minute shopping and decorating
going on over here yet.
What about you?
And in the random news this week…
#1. Playing with peonies
Again. I cannot resist the 5 stems for $5 and so-yes, a fresh batch came home with me.
I wish I could buy all the peonies and share them with each of you-
but hopefully the photos are somewhat like sharing.
These came home just in time for a special styling- coming your way in a couple days.
#2. High School Graduate
My baby baby graduated high school last week.
As in my youngest. Graduated. High School.
6 months early and with almost all straight A’s.
Whose kid is this kid? 😉
To be quite honest, I am in no way ready for my youngest to leave the nest
and be all graduated already.
And I find I am obsessively looking at adopting another dog (or two) to join Mr. Weenie in
anticipation of empty nest syndrome.
#3. Pretty papers
I might possibly be double posting on more than one occasion this week.
I have so much to share before Christmas yet- like pretty wrapping papers for presents.
In love with this one from HomeGoods- ribbon is from Safeway (yes, as in the supermarket!)
#4. Sugar Plum Fairy
Mildy obsessed with jewel toned ornaments this year- and these Napa Jewel ornaments remind me of the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
I mentioned it yesterday- but I am so excited to share an exclusive discount with you- that is just for French Country Cottage readers. An extra 15% off anything you want at Balsam Hill. Including sale and clearance items. And they have much more than Christmas- so take a peek- you just might find what you are looking for.
#5. Last minute gift ideas
I am in love with ornaments for pretty much anything- place setting holders, package toppers and even personalized gifts. They are inexpensive, easy to customize and so fun to create to give to someone special.
Take a peek at the simple DIY and get busy on those last minute gifts.
And if you want to give a gift that is edible- here is another easy ( AND QUICK!) idea
Can you believe it is almost the end of the year? I am feeling super reflective this season and have a special post coming up about that- but I also and feeling super excited about the new year to come.
More on that soon- for now- I am off to wrap up some decorating (yes) and shopping (yes, yes!)
and enjoy a cup of tea.
Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start everyone!
