It was more like one of those
and it was definitely something that inspired a change in a room.
and then add in that rusty old doorknob,
I decided it was a big time vintage bargain and loaded it up.
I guess I kind of have a thing for them.
Remember this green beauty in the cottage?
I love using doors as a backdrop for photos
and you might remember seeing a peek of this one in my 4th of July post
When I find a new old door to love
I buy them because of their old patina, chippy goodness or their quirky character
was actually really chipping off paint that didn’t stay when it was cleaned up and sealed
and I was keeping fingers crossed that it would fit perfectly for the spot I was thinking.
We could open a wall up and do a pocket door- but nay- that would require a lot of work.
Enter a vintage, worn paint, old wood and charm
and covered in loads of patina
sliding barn type door.
and it has worked out perfectly so when I saw that vintage goodness and that aqua and yellow paint
that melted my heart
and it’s not looking photo shoot ready just yet. 😉
Finding Home Online and Stone Gable are going to be sharing as well
and I will share much more in the coming weeks and more
