5 Minute Decorating~ Place Setting Pinecones

I like something easy to make that has tons of charm
and makes a big splash on a table in a table setting.

Maybe it's the flowers. Or a sweet centerpiece with pumpkins
or maybe it is something to dress up each plate.

Maybe something simple like a frosted little pinecone
with a sprig of boxwood or eucalyptus and a pretty pale peach ribbon
to serve as a place holder?

Yes, I am in.

When thinking of something simple that would
be a perfect little touch to a Thanksgiving table
I thought of place holders.

I know, I have done place holder bouquets
and sweet little flowers with a ribbon on a napkin before
but this one is seriously simple and easy
and charming for Thanksgiving or Christmas tables.

Honestly, probably the hardest part was finding enough pinecones
that sat nice and flat on the plates.

Here's what you need:

pinecones with  flat bottoms
a favorite ribbon
eucalyptus or boxwood sprigs
cards or tags for names
gold paint pen

I used these white pinecones since I had them already
but you could use whatever types you would like.

Cut out your tags to be the size, shape you would like
I went with simple since my pinecones were a little fancy
and kept the size small and the shape very basic.

Using a gold metallic pen
write the names of your guests on the cards

Note: You might need to skew the name to the side just a bit-instead of writing it centered
so that when you stick the card in between the pinecone pieces
it can stick out to the side and be read easily (see above)

Trim a piece of ribbon and a sprig of greenery of your choice
and place them on the plates with your pinecones

I love the look of the eucalyptus soft faded green with the coppery tones
and the rustic table top.

Simple, easy, charming
and yes,  a 5 minute project.
