Last week,
I was sitting at the table with a roll of brown painters paper
my favorite gold scissors
and a bevy of beautiful white reindeer ornaments.
Sometimes it is something little that inspires
a new idea- and it was these pretty little reindeer this time.
I was surrounded by little pieces of paper and sprigs of cedar clippings
but yes there was a method to my madness.
I clipped away to make small paper ribbons
and then trimmed the edges with
and curled them with my fingers so that they would sit perfectly
woven in between those antlers on the reindeer.

Simple, simple. simple but oh so charming.
I love how these turned out and knew right away when I saw them
at Lowe's- that they were perfect for decorating the tree
but also for using a holiday table setting.
This months Lowe's Creative Ideas challenge was all about getting
ready for the Holidays that are quickly approaching.
I decided to make something fun to get ready for hosting holiday parties.
I am a huge fan of beautiful table settings so a creative idea for
place card holders were perfect.
Even better?
Your guests can take one home with them as a party favor.
Well, that is if you can stand to part with a few of them
;)
and you can find everything you need at Lowe's.
1. Roll of brown painters paper
(paint department by the drop cloths)
2. Reindeer ornaments
(Christmas department)
3. Gold paint
(paint department)
Oh, yeah...why is there gold paint on the list?
Well, you know me well enough to know that I get a wild hair sometimes
I. am. loving how they turned out
and will share more about them in a separate post.
Happy Monday everyone!
