I left home on Sunday last week.
And first stop was Las Vegas for few days and then to New York- which if you know me-
you know is one of my most favorite places to visit.
you know is one of my most favorite places to visit.
It was an amazing week long trip filled with a little bit of work, a little bit of fun
and a whole lot to get excited about.
and a whole lot to get excited about.
I will share a post all about what I fell in love while perusing the goods at the market and some of what went on behind the scenes in New York soon.
But for now- it is onto other random news.
1. Vegas, baby
Oh the inspiration- truly.
Not by Vegas itself, the flashing lights, loud music, crazy amounts of cigarette smoke filling the air or the less than half dressed folks on the streets.

But…
the Las Vegas Market?
Well, that talked to me.
Well, that talked to me.
It said-
French inspired, cottage charm, bold and beautiful and so much more.

2. New York
Ahhh the city that doesn’t sleep.
The lights, the sounds, the people… I absolutely LOVE New York City
and I try to go there as often as I can-
because, it never gets old and always takes my breath away.
This time, I was staying near Central Park which is one of my absolute favorite spots.
I so enjoyed getting up in the morning and jogging through the park before grabbing a coffee and doing a little people watching.
3. ABC Carpet & Home
On Thursday morning
I hopped on the subway and traveled down to a favorite spot to visit-
the Flatiron district.

I met my friend and fellow HomeGoods blogger Ivy for lunch and a little shopping at ABC Carpet & Home.
I was a little bummed to find out they had moved their amazing inspiration filled antiques room
and dispersed it among other stores-
but I did a quick periscope to show some of the pieces we did find
like this one.

4. Periscope
Well speaking of periscope…
Let’s just say I am learning the ropes.
I did my first periscope (which is live video) while at Vegas Market
I think the minute I pressed to stream video
there was a beacon that said
‘Come into the showroom and see that lady over there trying to be all quiet and show things to her viewers? Wander around her while the video is going- bump into her, make noise, etc’
It was crazy busy and I had to keep moving out of peoples way to navigate.
Aye carumba. If nothing else- I will be entertaining
in a most embarrassing way on there.
😉
5. Needlepoint Treasure
When I arrived home, I found a gorgeous needlepoint treasure waiting for me.
I thought it would be pretty when I ordered it-
but had no idea just how amazing it would be.

Here is a sneak peek…
That is it for now
I am off to pour another cup of coffee and get to work.
Happy Saturday everyone.

I was also in Vegas for Market. It just keeps getting better and better. I walked that Market for four days and still did not make it out to the tents. Oh well, I'll make that my first stop in January.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip and saw many lovely treasures. I agree with you on Las Vegas, not like it used to be.
But, now NYC that is a different story – love that town.
Have a restful Sunday.

I think pic #3 is the sliver building- where they filmed the murder movie with Sharon Stone.
