Do you fall in love with
the bold and beautiful colors in a room?
Maybe it is a splash of color on the walls, a color filled pattern in wallpaper
or just simply a piece of furniture wearing a rich jewel toned fabric.
Though I surround myself with neutrals, whites and shabby colors and style
I definitely do appreciate that gorgeous pop of color in a space.
Color brings an edgy feeling to an otherwise quiet space
and it makes a room feel vibrant and alive.
From bold stripes on the wall
to simple fuchsia upholstery on the ottomans.
What about these saturated panels on a gorgeous bed to brighten a space.
Seriously
love love love this from Joe Ruggiero.
Maybe it is something like gorgeous pottery arranged on a table
with a bold blue light
paired with orange that speaks to you.

Color and pattern definitely make big impact in a room.
Though my home wears soft subtle tones-
I love a bold pop in my wardrobe like an electric blue winter coat or fuchsia handbag
and I do love a room filled with color.
I thought I would share a few of my color filled favorites from Market –
and there were no shortage of inspirations as usual.
On the Design Bloggers Tour- one of the advantages was that we were visiting showrooms
that you may not normally visit. And noticing things that you may not have otherwise.
There were quite a few showrooms that completely surprised me
that I would never have thought to stop in at and take a peek around.
Mental note to self for next market?
To put some new to me, never been to showrooms on my list of must visits.
Today, I am starting with a showroom and company that I am familiar with
Bernhardt Furniture.
They had so many colorful inspirations -and probably get the award for surrounding you with rich, saturated color on the walls to show off their collections.
This amazing space at Bernhardt Furniture knocked my socks off.
It is three spaces- the dining, the living and the bedroom
and the color and repeat draws you right in.
I love the play of the metallics and woods with that color-
and those stools are amazing.
Lucite was a huge trend I noticed at High Point – and a huge trend that even
this French Cottage loving girl was crushing on.
At Wesley Hall where we previewed Taylor Burke Home
there was definitely a touch of bright and beautiful~ with the lighting and with so much more.
I loved these gorgeous chairs.

And this vignette at the beginning of the post
was also spotted in this showroom- love that fretwork lighting.
there was no shortage of color.
Another bold and beautiful space.

Are you noticing another color trend?
Yes, it seemed shades of orange were huge at Market.
But it wasn’t always about the room filled with color.
Sometimes- it was just a colorful piece within the room that made the statement.
Absolutely love the saturated blue on this sideboard at Hooker Furniture
And this piece at John-Richard might be one of my absolute favorites at Market.
The color. The stud detailing. The scale.
John- Richard always manages to draw me in and keep me for a bit when I stop by.
Also spotted at John-Richard – a glossy red lacquer cabinet with a surprise inside.
and a gorgeous green backdrop for those sparkly lights.
The pop of colorful was also seen underfoot and ready for tossing onto the sofa.
Rugs and pillows from Loloi Rugs were a splash of summer sunshine-
and with these- it was also all about that yummy texture.
Of course there were some darker but no less bold and beautiful pieces as well
like the Moonrise Noir Lamp from Lamps Plus which made it’s long awaited debut
at Currey and Company is a major stunner in person.
And this vignette-
which I had to grab a photo of as we walked by
that just simply stopped me in my tracks.
So gorgeous.
There were a couple showrooms that I will share in more detail that were talking my language
and there are my always favorite stops
that are more ‘me’ with vintage and soft French inspired looks that will be
coming your way.

Bonjour chère amie,
Un choix colossal… Il y en a pour tous les goûts. J'aime les murs neutres qui permettent ainsi de mettre de belles pièces colorées en valeur…
Jolie publication.

Wow, I love color—color pattern everywhere. Nice to see they used color for all styles, traditional to New Modern. Thanks for the update on the industry, I miss going to shows. Sandi
