Glistening white, brassy golds, blush
and
Christmas?
Yes, please.
I am joining a great group of bloggers for a Christmas One Room Tour this week
and if you are coming over from Whimsy Girl today~ Welcome!
I am a huge fan of the softer side of Christmas.
The pretty glittery bits and baubles in bowls, on the trees and scattered about.
Soft shades of whites, vintage pale blues, barely blushing blush
and even pretty flowers.
I know that probably surprises some of you
😉
but all kidding aside,
I do believe that fresh flowers fit right in
even for Christmas stylings
My office space is definitely a little on the girlie side.
And I am totally okay with it.
It is covered in the original old wood planks on the walls
and a wallpaper covered ceiling that I added when we first moved in
to remedy the unfinished sheetrock.
Then it is all about those romantic details.
A huge crystal covered chandelier above the desk
vintage inspired chippy gilded furniture
and a soft rug covered in flowers underfoot.
An old antique cast iron fireplace serves as a focal point most of the time
but of course, during Christmas- the tree takes center stage.
I love to place a white tree in this room-( this is the Mount Washington White )
it just always feel like it is absolutely glowing when it is on.
And another something I always love?
Blush decorations on it.
I know. Obsessed and I might decorate it simply and simply similar every year
but I love it.
This year, I used a few new pieces on it to jazz it up even further.
It wears a collection of vintage and new
and I started out with blush garlands in two sizes
and then dotted the tree with ornaments here and there.
This year, I also added gorgeous glass crystals for an
extra amount of romance and bling.
On the mantel- simple romantic elegance.
An antique gold mirror on the mantel sets a little bit of a glamorous tone
and then I covered the mantel with fresh seeded eucalyptus
and just a few peonies.
(yes, they are back for the season!)
Creamy white faux fur stockings
and a tree skirt complete the look.
Non traditional- yes.
Definitely not red or green- true.
But it is so romantic and French cottage inspired and so.me.
that I can’t help but fall in love with it again and again
every time I walk by.
Excited to be joining

This is so beautiful! But can you share where you got the blush colored garland. I have seen lots of blush pink ornaments but not the garland! Your office is beautiful and the mantel amazingly soft yet festive!

I see you love white Christmas trees as well! We have had one for years and love it! I couldn't help but smile when I read that you added some glass ornaments because that is one thing my mom loves. Every year, we purchase a new one to add to the tree. The soft tones you've used definitely kept my eye searching and interested! And that chandelier is perfection. I want at least one chandelier when I have my own house.

Just beautiful Courtney! You know I'm a big fan of that over the mantel mirror, but I'm also loving those wall sconces!

Your style is absolutely stunning. I've been following for a while on IG and your blog and I'm obsessed. No matter how many times I go to a different style in my home it seems like french keeps creeping back in! 🙂
