It’s the weekend.
And you know, last night I was wide awake until nearly the wee hours of the morning working away… so you know- you would think that maybe I would sleep in a bit.
But- I was up early over here- and as much as I love to sleep in on occasion,
I actually love to get up early and listen to the world waking up while sipping on coffee.
In the random news this weekend, it is all about that super sweet sweethearts day coming up.
Any big plans?
None over here, my sweetheart is working this Valentine’s Day
so my daughter and I will likely be putting on a show to watch together
and nibbling on a few chocolates.
😉
Blue & White
This week, it was all about feeling blue…
in a good kind of way.
Blue and white and pinks for Valentine’s Day- or for any day really
well, they are a perfect mix and mingle.
I styled a ‘Galentine’s Day’ table setting for the Wayfair Blog-
and I stepped outside the candy heart box
and went with blue.
With faux fur throws to wrap up with on the chairs
eucalyptus garland on the table
and loads of charm with the place settings- this table was a blast to style.
And since I styled this table two ways (obsessed)
you will see more soon on how to achieve this look soon- but for now-
click over to the blog to take a peek.
Sawdust in my hair
Did I tell you we started a new project?
One that involves wood, nails, sawdust, white paint and a whole lot of pretty?
Yes. It is true.
I will be sharing a behind the scenes look very soon.
For now, I might possibly be getting a little extra fiber
in my coffee this morning.
😉
Front Door Charm
Did you know that I hand paint our house with a brush every so often?
I like that fresh, crisp color that comes from fresh paint.
Yes, it is a big job- but I do it.
And this year- we are gearing up for a graduation party for my daughter
in June or July. So, that to-do list?
It’s a little bigger than the average right about now.
One spot that is definitely getting a fresh look is the front door.
New hardware, new paint, new plants, maybe even lights.
And I am talking outdoor lighting at the Lamps Plus blog this week
and sharing a few favorites.
What inspired me this week on the web?
This sofa is insanely good.
Can’t wait to see the After of this cabin makeover
and
we eat brussels sprouts nearly every.day. with our veggies
and this recipe sounds amazing.
On a side note:
You might have noticed that the GFC widget is not on my blog anymore.
I left it up for those of you who wanted to follow that way
but with the blog redesign coming- we need to streamline.

That is it for this weeks random musings
I am working on some big stuff behind the scenes that I can’t wait to share
but next week- more on that blue and white
a ‘Before’ and details on what room is covered in sawdust at the moment
and more.
Happy Valentine’s weekend everyone.
