Not sure if you have noticed…
but I am mildly obsessed with table settings outdoors.
Especially when they have a splash of sunset light that dances across the table.
But really, I am only mildly obsessed.
The ranunculus from the flower market last week on the other hand?
That would be more along the lines of a major obsession.
So much so…
that before heading out of town this weekend for the Design Bloggers Conference
I decided to play with those flowers one more time before they started to fade
and set a romantic inspired table outdoors.
Table settings, much like decorating and anything else-
are all in the details for me.
It is the mix and mingle. The soft and light
and the way that those elements play together.
Like blush stemware mingling with lacy plates
and silver flatware…
with that rustic weathered wood table backdrop.
It isn’t as much about the food when I am entertaining
a little backwards, I know.
But the food is last on the list of things to plan.
My mind always goes right ambiance.
The lighting. The music. The table.
The flowers.
For this table-
since those ranunculus are pretty much stealing the spotlight
I went with simple elegant bouquets in vintage glass jars and bottles
marching down the center.
A few sprigs of fresh seeded eucalyptus- some just starting to bloom a bit
and a couple of dark amethyst goblets mixed in for a touch of drama as well.
I have a confession…
I did it.
I bought several bottles of wine merely for the labels and bottles.
I don’t really drink Rose’ – I am more of a zin girl
so I actually haven’t tried this wine before.
But for those of you wondering
I have heard great things about Sophia
and if nothing else- you will have a gorgeous bottle to use as a vase.
And I am pretty sure that bottle would fit right in with these pretty flowers
marching down the center of this table right now.
And… the obsessions continues…and I am totally okay with it.
😉
I also shared a peek at a few new blue goblets on instagram and FB the other day
and so many of you asked where to find them- Here you go.

I will be sharing more details about them soon.
A busy couple of days coming up this week at the conference-
and then back home and jumping right back into that makeover project that is in full swing
&
that is making a big time mess right now.
Here on the blog-
I will be sharing a vision board for some of what is inspiring the makeover
I will be sharing a vision board for some of what is inspiring the makeover
