Autumn in the living room

I might be obsessed with all things in dusty blush and purple
mingling with golds and glam this season.

And I am totally okay with it.

Because, those colors are so easy for me to live with and love every day.
Neutrals with a pop of pretty?
Have my name on it.

A little bit rustic- like an old wood bucket
filled with a little bit soft and delicate like these gorgeous hydrangeas?
Talking my language.

And drippy gold candles on repeat again and again...
yes please.

There is something about moody atmospheres for autumn that I absolutely love.
And this year in the living room- I have been keeping the autumn decor fairly light and using candles in abundance to warm it up- like on the coffee table.

And over on the mantel- it is much the same- though there are a couple of white pumpkins
mingling with dried flowers.

In keeping things light - white pumpkins and more of those candles and dried peonies
are simple and add just a touch of autumn warmth.

I will be sharing more of the mantel next week-
but I have to say I am obsessed with this corner currently.

This chair is part of a special collection with Soft Surroundings
that I am excited to share more about soon and it is the perfect spot to cozy up to the fire
(when the autumn chill moves in)

These vintage doors are some of my favorite things that just arrived.

I am in love with the chippy painted finish.

More coming soon on the mantel and these doors- and
I am so excited to be joining these amazing friends today who are also sharing their living rooms dressed for autumn.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

  1. I have a question about the drippy candles. Do you just let the wax hit the table? Isn’t that a mess to clean up? Anyway, love the color combo and it is a restive atmosphere. Well done!

    1. I would only do that for a photo shoot! It is a pretty arrangement regardless of the dripping wax.

  2. I just got that chair and I love it!!

  3. Loving the chippy doors and your mantle

  4. Sooo pretty, Courtney! I always love how you style your mantels ~ and happily share them on my Mantels and Mirror board. :) Taking a break today and just hopping around getting inspired by everyone's beautiful homes dressed for fall.

    Happy fall to you,
    Barb :)

  5. I love this type of decor. I can’t wait to see how you are going to decorate the old door as I have two of them to decorate and I’m looking for inspiration. Thank you

  6. Do you have a link for the gorgeous candle sticks?
