It is that time of year again… time for all things merry & bright.
And I am SO.EXCITED. Twinkle lights. Christmas trees and baubles…
And I am also excited to share more about that brand new Balsam Hill Biltmore collection
I mentioned the other day.
The new Biltmore Collection with Balsam Hill
summed up in one word?
Elegance.
Full of beautiful elements with glittery golds, silvers and rich luxe details
like ribbons with crystals, ornaments dotted with glistening designs
and an abundance of elegant charm.
I shared the first post about my recent trip to The Biltmore with Balsam Hill here
and today- it is all about that beautiful tree and the details.
I was at The Biltmore with several other bloggers decorating several trees for the
Inn on Biltmore Estate (which is incredible btw!)
and we each used elements from
The Balsam Hill Biltmore Collection.
A razzle dazzle elegant and refined beautiful collection that includes a signature tree and tree trimming goodies.
When decorating a tree- you start with a tree of course. 🙂
And this new tree is one of my favorite types-
a beautiful spruce.
Rich dark foliage with thick branches and a full profile-
I love how this tree absolutely lends itself
to showing off rich colors, embellished glistening details and loads of ribbons.
The ornaments themselves are incredibly detailed.
I chose the decorating theme that was all gold all the time
to really show off the details and elegant feeling of the collection.
The glass ornaments, glittered ‘leaf’ picks and thick velvet ribbon with beading and crystals
were perfect for creating a tree with a whole lot of glam.
Just look at how gorgeous these are?
In the ornament set- there are some simple golds, as well as pretty glass drops.
A simple tip for decorating a tree that creates a designer look?
Group the ornaments in 2’s or 3’s to create a bit more
‘drama’ and impact than one all by itself.
(the inside lighting was not the best for photography in some areas-
but on the other hand- it does show the warm glow the tree has)
Another tip
Tuck those ornaments inside a bit further to fill in areas and add the longer drops
Tuck those ornaments inside a bit further to fill in areas and add the longer drops
where they can hang beautifully within the branches-
or a little further out on the outer branches for a bit of pizzazz.
or a little further out on the outer branches for a bit of pizzazz.
I used this gorgeous velvety ribbon in some areas of the tree as well.
I just tucked it here and there where I wanted a little more
‘oomph’ or to fill in some spaces.
You might notice I did not use a tree topper.
Generally- I don’t use a topper on every tree and instead of creating one with ribbon or picks-
I felt like the natural silhouette was perfection with just a few ornaments and a couple leaves from one of the picks.
It was such a fun event to be a part of and decorating with these fun girls was great.

Love the look but I love the Frosted Alpine Balsam Fir you showed. I got hacked on IG so I won't be entering this but I still love to see all the different ways to decorate.

Each year I look forward to seeing your Christmas decorating, especially the Balsam Hill pieces …. then I search our Australian site for them, and it doesn't carry the same items 🙁 *sob*
