Welcome to the weekend view.
Happy Sunday everyone.
This weekend view is all about holiday, home and books…
Santa Cruz-in’
I spent a couple days in Santa Cruz for a book singing this weekend.
So much fun at Goat Hill Fair being inspired by all the vintage treasures- and so much fun meeting so many of you who came over to say hello!
It is always a treat for me when I meet someone I have known through blogging. It makes you feel like this big old world isn’t as big as it think sometimes.
And Goat Hill Fair is going on again today- so pop on over and grab some treasures if you are in the area! It is at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. See more sneaks in my IG story.
Beach Living
While there, I got up early and grabbed some coffee and picked up my grand dogs who were also staying in the area for the weekend- and went to the beach early.
A chilly 37 degrees on the coast- but we walked and I sipped and those wee pups tugged on the leash and I spilled coffee twice all.over. my sweater.
Notice the tangled web of leashes? Yeah… my nemesis while walking. A new grand dog Jade who is overly excited to explore in front of, behind, both sides AND attack her sister for some fun puppy rolls in the sand.
But look at this face… can’t be mad at a sweet little puppy face no matter how much coffee was spilled.
Flower Market
I popped over to the SF Flower Market on Thursday to load up on fresh greens and garlands.
And some flowers, of course. I have been a bit crazy over here so haven’t had time to play with them just yet- but will be tomorrow and sharing so much of our holiday home in the next 2 weeks.
Book Sale
For Veterans Day tomorrow- I am having a book sale in my shop.
Everything is marked on sale- and an additional 20% of profits will be donated to a Veterans group.
Many of you might not know that my husband served in the gulf war before I met him- and veterans groups do so much to support our veterans and those families as well.
You can order books, bags, books and bags– whatever you would like at the sale price through tomorrow. Use code: JHH2FNPHR34V
Design Challenge – sneak peek
Coming your way tomorrow- something I was in North Carolina for that involved this.
And a custom design.
And a challenge.
And I will need your help… stay tuned for a post coming your way early tomorrow with all the details.
And a quick note – A lot of you have messaged since I shared that I left RH in September. Yes- that is my home on the December cover – sorry for the confusion! We worked on December in September and I do work freelance as a photographer with magazines as well so that is why you are seeing some other covers and features out there. I am thankful for the experience at RH while I was there- and will share more as soon as I am able to about the new opportunities I am beyond excited to be working on. Hope that helps clear things up a bit!
Also stay tuned for a holiday table
as well as much more
And if you are in the Fair Oaks/ Sacramento, CA area- I will be chatting and signing books at
The Treasured Home from 1-3pm today – hope to see you there!
Happy Weekend!
Happy Weekend.

Thank you for your support of our Veterans, Courtney!! My husband proudly served 20 years in the Marine Corps, including two tours in Vietnam. We can never thank them enough for their sacrifices. I have your book and I just love it!!
