Harvest at Home- Elegant Neutral Autumn Fireplace Decor & Giveaway

When it comes to autumn- I am definitely feeling that softer side of fall.
The dried oak leaves, acorns and golden grasses and maybe a sprinkle of blush too.
Perfection.

I shared a sneak peek of this new collection at Balsam Hill a couple of days ago-
when I had the garland on the table

And I promised to show you where it landed.
(Stay tuned for the end of the post for a giveaway)

I am feeling more than a bit in love with the colors in this new Dahlia and Pumpkin Forest foliage- the blushing dahlias and grasses are so perfect for my style- and for the marble fireplace in the little cottage.

You might remember this antique mantel that I found on craigslist
-along with another that we haven't put back together yet.

I love how this foliage feels so perfect for the space and the vintage mantel and mirror.
The mirror was a thrift store find and very heavy. I love the gilded frame and love the mottled worn looking glass it has. There is something about that glass being less than perfect that
always speaks to me- this one is full of 'ghosting' with a few splotchy areas.
It never quite looks sparkling clean  but it is so charming.

I used the Miracle Flame LED taper candles on the mantel

and also the wax candles on the bookshelf for a bit more ambiance.

And  a stack of old naked books on my grandmothers vintage wheat table that keeps with the neutral look.  I am a big texture girl- so those ruffly pages are beyond lovely to me.

The foliage with those golden grasses, white pumpkins and blush dahlias are so perfect for the little cottage living room.

I love that the wreath and garland say 'autumn' but more like a whisper than a shout.

And something exciting - Balsam Hill is giving away one of these new

  7. I could just envision walking through Cinderella's garden near to midnight, with those sweet little white pumpkins peeking out at me with the light of the moon. The Dahlia and pumpkin Forest wreath and garland remind me most of a fairytale cottage setting, so I would say for me this is the perfect set from Balsam Hill.

  31. I've decorated in the "old traditional" colors for decades and was just finally over my whole mode of fall decorating. The Dahlia & Pumpkin foliage is. So. Perfect. Refreshingly different but with a softer, most sophisticated color palette. I. Love. Love. Love it!

  34. I'm into Balsam Hill's apple spice. I've been decorating with apples this year, and I'm into those vibrant colors that makes me feel cozy and warm. Your post on Dahlia and Pumpkin foliage is giving me pause though. I haven't decorated yet on one mantel yet. So I might play with lighter hues. Softer.

  43. I love everything about the fall that Balsam has but the Dahlia and Pumpkin Forest foilage wreath is absolutely stunning!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I love all the blush, soft neutral tones and textures feel whimsical and joyful to me. My fall decor has typically leaned in the deeper and more rich autumn tones like burgundy’s, and lavenders (which I still love) just bc oranges and browns are a little intimidating for me to style and get that warm and fuzzy I want during fall, BUT these color palettes are getting it done!

    ReplyDelete
  45. These new colors are perfect! A subtle nod to fall. Gorgeous! I love the vibrancy of autumn colors but more outside than indoors some times. I’m picky about oranges so sometimes it is hard to find the right colors to suit me for fall decor.
