Gift of Gathering & Last minute Halloween ideas

It is hard to believe that Halloween is just a couple of days away... and you know what that means...Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner.

But before I get all twinkly tree obsessed (okay, it has already happened) I am sharing a few Halloween tables and decor ideas from the past- and a peek at a new book from a friend.

Spooky doesn't quite cut it when it comes to Halloween decor. But what if you are more of an 'elegant' Halloween than spooky Halloween kind?
Well, I am there with you.
I love watching scary movies with popcorn and all that on occasion just like everyone else- but much prefer those true crime shows to try and solve the mysteries.
And when it comes to Halloween decor- I kind of think the same way. That over the top gore and yuck is like those movies. The more decadent and rich hued decor is like those mysteries.

Might be a stretch I suppose- but we are going with it.  :)

So today it is all about that mystery type halloween decor- and a new book from my sweet friend Bre at Rooms For Rent that is all about table settings.

This book... is so beautiful- every page. It is like sitting down with Bre to chat over coffee or tea and soaking up those pretty table setting ideas at the same time.

She shares 12 tables through all 4 seasons- and I don't know if I could choose a favorite - they are all just beautiful.

I love how she also shares bits and quotes about her faith and how that is also reflected in her gatherings.  You can read more about and purchase your copy of her beautiful book HERE - well done Bre!!

And onto a couple spookilicious gatherings below to help inspire some Halloween gatherings of your own- happy Tuesday all.

  2. I agree with you Courtney, no spooky and gory here, I do enjoy the pretty fall decor after I say goodbye to summertime. I so love your beautiful site from the time I found you, about a year ago! Thank you for the opportunity of seeing and learning about the wonderful places you visit in Europe. I hope to go someday and the details, pictures and information are great! Love your style and talents!
