You probably already know how much I love styling a pretty table.
Creating the ambiance with candles and twinkle lights
and playing with flowers for the centerpiece.
One of my Favorite things.
I think I could probably play with table settings for grand events and small gatherings
every.day. and not get tired of it.
And this table….well this one was so much fun to create.
I styled it 2 ways to give you 2 different ideas.
When I start styling a table-
I almost always start with the centerpiece and an idea for what it will look like.
Will it be a single arrangement of flowers?
Or several arrangements marching down the table?
Or maybe just a scattering of candles for a warm glow?
The things that make you go hmmm… right?
Not really- haha- but centerpieces play a big part in the design
and they help set the stage for the rest of the look for the occasion.
Maybe it is a single flower that grabs my attention and I start dreaming up ideas
Or maybe it is market bouquet that has a perfect mix.
Or maybe something completely different all together.
Stay with me on that thought.
This spring inspired table started with inspiration
from all those delicious rosy warm tones and peach colors in the flowers.
The prettiest shades of coral dahlias, cream peonies and bits of eucalyptus and spring greens.
When they are mixed and mingled – they simply say
‘Warm sunshine filled spring garden party’
This table is in the barn- and since I have a long table out there-
I used 3 arrangements down the table for the centerpiece
and then added some of my favorite elements.
Gold always plays well with peach and rosy tones
so I brought out vintage gilded glasses to mix with gold coupes
and also added brass candlesticks.
On the plates- those ivory velvet napkins from my shop are a perfect compliment.
But back to those flowers.
all those barely blushing peonies and creamy coral dahlias in little vases?
Well- they have a wee bit of a secret.
They are faux flower arrangements. 🙂
