Welcome to the weekend view.
This week it is all about garden projects, rainy days, photo prints , blogging info and some fun behind the scenes.
I had the windows in the bedroom open last night for fresh air and woke up listening to the sounds of pouring rain around 2 in the morning. I almost didn’t go back to sleep- it was so lovely to listen to. And then around 4:30 the birds joined in and started singing. It has been a bit of a rainy month so far over here. We have had some beautiful warm almost 80 degree days- followed by several rain soaked ones. And the foxgloves are absolutely loving it. They get a bit rain-soaked & start to tip a bit but it really does encourage them to bloom. We just planted about 10 more of them – excited for them to start growing in all the way.
We are in process of building a fence around the garden. Not the entire area- we have quite a lot of plants and areas growing in. But mostly around the vegetable and roses area since the deer do love coming by for a bite. We don’t mind sharing- but lately they have been a bit more about mowing down the entire plant than just enjoying a nibble. I will share the finished area when we get done.
Apple Orchard Views
This snap is from an evening in the apple orchard. It is one that we shot for my new book- but that didn’t make the cut. I will share a bit more about the behind the scenes on that shoot and why it had me running around while staying low at the end of the night.
Book Photography Prints
In the shop- I am working on adding some new items- and one of them are some of my photography prints. Right now – I have mostly prints from my books- but I will be starting a few collections of larger prints from various stylings I work on. For now, they are limited to the amount of each that I have printed off and have on hand.
My friend Julie has launched an incredible course all about blogging. She is my go-to blogger if I have a question about something – including when I redesigned my blog. And if you have ever thought about learning more about blogging or getting better at what you are already doing- her course is now open for registration You can read more about it here.
Coming your way
I am working on a couple of video projects that are taking up a chunk of time- fingers crossed I can get a couple of them up and running for you soon.
And on the blog- it is all about fun stuff.
Behind the scenes on a bohemian table setting, an easy DIY for building a pallet table, a peek at the new greenhouse veggie garden and creating a rose and hellebore bouquet- as well as a couple new recipes that we are enjoying on repeat over here right now. Like this zoodle & faux chicken parmesan that my husband made for our anniversary dinner. So good!
And stay tuned for lots of fun coming your way for book launch week and beyond. Happy Sunday all.
