Welcome to the weekend view. All about the week that was, random musings and what is coming your way.
Early mornings on the patio
I have been getting up early and taking my coffee out on the patio each morning. I love the crisp air and listening to the birds while enjoying the morning. It reminds me of my grandfather too- he was a super early riser and he used to always sit out on the front deck with his coffee and watch the world wake up- I think he was on to a pretty good way to start the day.
This lion fountain patio is a favorite little spot- perfect for starting the day. And in my new book– you will see this same patio area styled for an evening with a cheese board.
Dinner in the greenhouse garden
Since we have been staying home so much recently- we have been making even more of an effort to enjoy special occasions and date nights right here. While we do dine outdoors quite often – recently it has been a bit more about simple dining rather than fussy. But last night- I put a pretty dress and boots on, my husband wore a favorite button up shirt and we set the table for a dinner at home that felt more like a restaurant. All we were missing was the no cooking or clean up in the kitchen. 🙂
Fields of golden dreams
This. Field. It is one of my favorite fields on the way up to Lake Tahoe. I have loved it since I was a little girl and can remember when we would be driving to the lake and I would look for it. I have a thing for open spaces surrounded by mountains and trees in the distance. One of my favorite types of property. I am going to be sharing more about the behind the scenes of this inspired gathering from my book this next week or so- along with another favorite styling and something funny that happened while we were there. As usual, when I am working on something, it is a bit like a comedy routine. I think it is partly because I am having so much fun most of the time while styling and photographing something- but also because I am going a mile a minute.

The Eloquence Giveaway is almost wrapped up- but there is still time to enter. I will be sharing a bit more about Eloquence here on the blog- but don’t miss the chance to enter to win a medium Birdcage Chandelier today. It is all about the roses – & you
A peek at the latest progress in the little cottage
A special styling- which required a special paint job and how that turned out. Hint- it is not painted a shade of white.
All about collecting- and how to use some of those collections every.day.
And a project that has been on the back burner for years that involves our basement. Any guesses what it is? I will share some plans for that and a mood board soon.
Happy weekend – hope you are all staying safe and well!
