The weekend view is full of spring inspiration this week. Flowers & fun, gardening and a couple of photoshoots.
This weekend- it sprinkled a bit but we are supposed to be in the 80’s this next week- and I am all over that warm weather. I am forecasting a lot of walks and outdoor work going on.
It was a busy project kind of a week on the blog – all about that table Before & After and a bit of brick appreciation in the bathroom renovation.
Roses
My husband picked up 24 garden rose plants yesterday. Twenty Four. I asked him to see if they had any Eden roses at the nursery when he was there and apparently they did. He also found white iceberg roses and climbers which will be perfect for adding to the garden in the front. They are going in the ground today- after we make wire cages to keep the gophers away. You might remember that last year I brought a dozen of them home and you guessed it- the gophers took quite a few of the roses (and the peonies) out it seems.
Behind the Scenes
I shared this snap of work yesterday- a little round up of what it looks like behind the scenes when I am photographing something. This shows that in the view of the camera- what I am snapping is pretty and polished. But in the view outside of what the camera sees- a bit more in the moment. And in several seasons. Currently working ahead and photographing a little bit of Christmas for print- in March. It is Christmas all year long over here it seems.
Here is a close up of this floral arrangement in the camera view. It will be making an appearance on the blog this week. Inspired by the hellebores in the garden right now.
Table details
So much love for that little antique table last week! I am so glad you all love it as much as I do! I will be answering your questions about the table and the process – stay tuned for that.
Grand Dogs
It has been a month full of grand dog watching it seems. We had these two cuties this week while their parents and Juliette were visiting family out of state. They went on some big walks with us and enjoy relaxing by the fire pit outside.
Wandering
This weeks wandering took me all over the place-here are a few highlights.
This back porch Before & After is amazing. Love how it turned out.
We don’t have a microwave but if we did- this microwave drawer is a great idea.
Happy weekend all.

Everything so beautiful!! Hello, I have not been following you long, but these flower arrangements you make are stunning!! Is there a blog post of yours you suggest I read that shares some of the flower names? I would love to start growing some if my region permits.
I love all that you do! Thank you so much for sharing! I just realized that you wrote two books I purchased😊😁😀. I love them also. Take are now.

Always so inspiring! We lived in the countrY many yeArs and Also fought gophers. You may already be aware…but sprinkling Kitty litter around their holes in the ground, moves them AlOng to other areas.

Hi Cortney, I love your books, I love your blog! I have a question about the table you just refinished (beautiful!) what did you use to seal it? My husband just stripped the top of a lovely French Facebook marketplace cofee table we bought. It’s in a high traffic area and I’m very curious to know what you would suggest?
