This weeks weekend view is full of flowers, wedding reception, a peek at a new project that just arrived.
Wedding Reception
The wedding reception was a whirlwind that kind of took the week over last week. Between ordering the flowers to be arranged into bouquets and garlands, arriving early and decorating and staying late to help clean up- you could say we were a tad tired by the time we were in the car for the trip home. It might be the latest we have stayed up in a couple of years. And it was only just after midnight haha.
There were so many highlights of celebrating Diem and Cullan and our families formally coming together. They eloped to Hawaii in February but wanted to have a formal reception with friends and family. I loved that they wore traditional wedding outfits for all of the family to see.
I also saw a couple of Cullan’s friends from school who I hadn’t seen since HS graduation. It was such a treat to see the 3 of them together again.
We also joined Diem’s family and their tradition of signing Karaoke – I can already see all our family get-togethers being a lot of fun with them. We so enjoyed meeting everyone and spending the evening celebrating with our new extended family.
One of the most memorable things was that we were in a room full of family and old friends and new friends- and you could see everyone’s smiling faces. There were hugs. There was laughter. There was a feeling that it was almost like it was before the whole past couple of years. And I have to say- it was so wonderful and so much good for the soul. I honestly did not realize how much I needed that until after the evening wrapped up.
Wedding Flowers
I will be sharing a post on the wedding flowers for the tables this week- simple and easy to DIY -and they turned out so absolutely beautiful.
Easter
After the reception, Easter Sunday was that weekend and though we were all a tad worn out- we did enjoy a quiet dinner together with an abundance of those wedding flowers in the house.
A Project
We started a new project last week and are already knee deep into plans. I am already envisioning styling and playing with it. The best part- it is a project that we can bring you right along with. Stay tuned for what it is and the first post coming your way tomorrow.
Birthdays
We celebrated Diem’s birthday yesterday at my oldest sons house. Juliette is almost walking and is a little sweetheart full of smiles and laughs.

Coming your way this week- more about that new project, DIY wedding flowers and more. There is also more on my heart to share about last week so will share a bit more soon.
Have a beautiful Sunday all.
