A post all about cottage garden planters and pots.
With the warm weather, plentiful sunshine and lots of blooming beauties in the garden. It is definitely feeling like we are well into all things outdoor living season over here.
Cottage Garden Planters & Patio Updates
I am currently working on a patio update for our dining area. And that includes a little bit of the lion fountain area as well. Though we have a lot of plants in the landscaping, we like to incorporate potted plants here and there. It creates a more of a gathered and collected garden kind of feeling.
Todays post is all about French cottage style or vintage style pots and planters that you can use anywhere to add a bit of charm. The front porch steps, tucked next to a chair on the patio, grouped in the corner filled with herbs or a citrus tree – or even on a windowsill or as a centerpiece.
I am taking advantage of some of the sales this weekend and thought I would share some of what I have been inspired by. And now I am pretty sure a trip to the garden center is in order for a few plants.
These pots and planters are all so charming- which one is your favorite?

Too many wonderful planters to choose my favorites. I wanted to ask about your digitalis (Foxglove). Do you cut the first large blooming stem off so that it will send up new, stronger stems? I live in Southern California and plant my Fox glove in early April. Mid-April we had a 2 day heatwave. The Blooms were burnt around the edges. I cut them off and found, to my surprise, that the new blooming stems were strong and plentiful for each plant.
