Who doesn’t enjoy the marriage of blue and white in decor? Most of us can appreciate the vintage charm and beautiful look those colors bring. I happen to collect a few blue and white mingles- like vintage transfer ware plates- they always create a cheery spot when they are on display. But even if you don’t have a collection on display-you can add a splash of those pretty colors and enjoy them. Today I am sharing some of my favorite blue and white finds this week- maybe one of them will speak to you too!
Blue and White Inspirations
A blue and white ‘moment’ in the kitchen. Inspired by that delightful enameled casserole dutch oven.
Love pieces that are functional and work as decor as well. This is one of them. Perfect for baking bread and for making soups. In that same collection- you can also find the mixer. A perfect pairing.
You can add platters and collected dishes in display- like plates in the china cupboard in this chinoiserie Christmas tree from my Christmas Book.
Or in this display of vintage blue and white plates and teacups in the dining room.
You can use those beautiful colors anywhere you would like- on the table, in a container or vase
patterned curtains, in the kitchen or bathroom- you name it. You can simply place an accent anywhere you would like to enjoy a bit of that charm.
While you can have a whole lot of the same colors & patterns through the house on repeat- I think you can go big or small with blue and white and get a lovely result. So go with what makes you happy- and it will be perfect.
