Courtney, I'm all about keeping it simple on my mantel this year. I seem to struggle with what to do on the mantel every Christmas season, and honestly have never been 100% happy with my results. This year was the same. I ended up taking down all that I'd done and started over. Now my mantel is very simple, no greenery this year, and I'm very happy with the look.

Lovely. I'm curious about the frosted pine cones. Did you buy them or craft them? I've been looking for instructions to make them for a while. Nothing so far seems to work to achieve the thick frost look. Any ideas?
