In winter, we should nourish ourselves more and create moments in our home that nurture and inspire us.
Cozy and nurturing. Those are 2 words I definitely would say are important for a winter bedroom style. The layers on the bed- from velvet quilts & ruffled linen duvets. The stacks of squishy pillows and glow from the village in the firebox. Creating a cozy nurturing winter bedroom is key in helping you rest and reset during this season. And something that I also like to do, is to create a simple little spot for sipping coffee. In the bedroom, that looks like a dainty little table for 2 by the corner windows where the sunshine pours in the winter and makes it feel much more like spring.

Winter Bedroom Breakfast Table
A table for two by the windows, s’il vous plaît. And oui oui, it is so easy to do. Who says a breakfast table has to be in the kitchen? It can be anywhere you would like it. By the fireplace. By the picture window. In the bedroom, etc. You are only limited by your imagination on where to create it.

I started with a pair of favorite antique chairs and a small bistro table. Cozied up in the corner by the windows is such a lovely little sunshine filled spot and perfect to sit for a few moments and enjoy. Yes, my curtains are quite puddled – they were extra long so that we could move the rods higher in this room which obviously had not been done here in these photos yet.

On the Table
A simple flower arrangement full of grocery store bought flowers was so easy to make and so inexpensive. A tip is to shop your local grocery store and see what inspires you. But also, this week which is the week After Valentine’s- is a Perfect time to go grab bunches of roses at big discounts. They ofter overbuy and overstock the roses for Valentine’s Day- my husband came home with 3 bunches of garden roses yesterday for $10 – they were going to toss them in another day or 2 if they didn’t sell and so, they discounted them for him.

This arrangement has hydrangeas, white roses, stock, baby’s breath, tulips, lisianthus, wax flower and greens. All in the mingled filler section and priced very reasonably.

Breakfast in Bed
Another fun way to cozy up and enjoy your bedroom in winter is to create a special breakfast in bed on occasion. This could be for a birthday or anniversary or other special occasion- or for an everyday treat.

For this breakfast- waffles topped with blueberries & coffee served in sweet vintage cups was perfect.

And the pot of coffee- necessary for me. I am a big time coffee loving girl and enjoy several cups each morning. It is a joke that I don’t like anyone talking to me until I have finished the first cup of coffee- but not really a joke haha. I actually do like to sit and sip and wake up and do my morning meditations before jumping into conversations or news.
Of course, if you aren’t a breakfast in bed kind- you can easily bring breakfast in and enjoy it at your breakfast table instead.
A Couple of Tips
- Soft Lighting is your friend. Waking up with softer light rather than blaring light can help start your day on a softer not.
- Bring in Layers of Winter Whites. Or your favorite cozy colors.
- Open the curtains for more sunshine and light to help balance your mood.
- Create a sitting area to enjoy your morning coffee or tea- it doesn’t have to be a bistro table to bring in all the cozy.
- Add something fresh from nature- like fresh flowers or greens.
I love the simplicity of this little sitting area and the florals- what do you think of this? Sharing some get the look options at my affiliate links below- Happy Monday friends.

Great idea, thank you, you looked pretty cozy.
Have a beautiful day.
Will you please give me the link for your curtains. Just beautiful. Thank You
Hi Sharon! I don’t know if the company that originally sold these has them any longer but I will link some that are similar. https://amzn.to/4qIA8YV
Everything looks so lovely
When it “warms up outdoors” that’s just what we have…a little marble topped bistro table on the top deck…can’t wait…franki
Love bistro setting. Curtains are pretty puddled but not easy to clean.
