Five minute decorating is always a thing over here. Why? Well a couple reasons I suppose. One is because I am literally like the Tasmanian devil spinning and making messes a lot of the time when I am working. Which means, as I work on something, something behind the scenes is becoming a whole lot more work to put back together. Such is the way of photo shoots and stylings. So when it comes to decorating just for decorating the house and enjoying, I am often ready for something simple and easy to do. As such- five minute decor ideas are popular here and today is all about a spring mantel.
Five Minute Spring Mantel Decor
This is not only a 5 minute mantel idea- it is also one of those 2 ingredient decorating ideas. And those 2 ingredients: Flowers and Books. I am quite obsessed with using simple things like a vignette with books and beautiful blooms. It is literally a favorite way of decorating a mantel. I have done that several times over the years and shared here. I feel like it is timeless and simple which makes me happy.

This one is even more simple because I am using just white roses in the arrangement. Sometimes a pop of color is perfection and full of spring cheer and other times- it is all about that more quiet look.
Keep it simple with 3 Things for an arrangement : Garden Roses, Regular Roses and Eucalyptus. These are all from Trader Joe’s & I mingled them in this antique pitcher and called it good.

I used 7 vintage books for this vignette- but of course depending on how large or small your mantel is- you can use more or less. A tip when using vintage books in decor is to try to keep the colors of the bindings cohesive or turn them around when stacking for a quieter look. Before anyone yells at me about books turned around and not being able to see the title- these books are merely being used for a mantel styling here so reading them and the title of each is not as important.
After I stacked the books and the flowers, I added some candles for a bit of warmth. Even though we are talking spring mantel, I think candles are good all year long for ambiance. Just one on the mantel and a couple in sconces were perfect.

Do you prefer colorful spring mantel decor or more neutral spring mantel decor? I have an affinity for both but this one is talking to me at this current moment. We are getting ready to touch up the paint in the living room and I am thinking I just might jump in and make a few changes that I have been thinking about for awhile now at the same time. Stay tuned.
Happy Monday friends.

I absolutely love the flower arrangement and the beautiful antique vase. are there instructions how to put that Arrangement together in your Bloom book?
Not this one specifically in In Bloom but there are some bouquets with how-to at the back of the book- I believe we included 12 arrangements in the DIY section.
