I love the chairs and having cane chairs once upon a time, I understand the importance of making sure the cane is strong.
You always do the most beautiful rooms.

I bought a dining room set from marian of Miss Mustard seed and they look different from all of the above. they have an OVAL BACK WITH AN INWARD CURVE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE WOOD AT THE MIDDLE OF THE CANE BACKS. JUST WONDERFUL AND I LOVE THEM. SHE MADE GRAIN SACK FABRIC COVERS WITH TIES(LIKE YOURS) AND LEFT THE GOLD VELVET UPHOLSTERED SEATS UNDERNEATH.

YOu can always find someone to handcane, very expensive and they charge per the hole. If you can’t afford that you can have an expert route out the rim on the item and have it machine canned. A lot less expensive and probably faster. I don’t cane for other people.

Really love your selections.
Repairing cane backed chairs is no longer an expensive or complicated undertaking.
You can buy caning by thr yard or role at various DIY Stores and simply cut a piece a bit larger than the area, soak it in a sink for 30 mins to flatten it. Then patt it dry and attach with glue and staples. Once fully dry it will become nice and taut and voila! Thats all there is to it:) Hope this helps your readers too:))
