I put in a long sideboRd similar to yours at 11ft long
AND added mullions
Just that touch made it pop
And the stOrage you will gain is s major plus

We have a very small eat in kitchen and no dining. When holiday dinners roll around I have to do the flip. Table goes into the living room and the sofa comes into the kitchen and then the chairs go down the hall to another room. It’s a lot of work but worth the effort. I know something about all those tingles because I know them too.
