Welcome to the weekend view. It is a rainy cozy kind of day over here-and I am loving it. We do have some 80 degree weather coming next week though so just a touch of autumn today and back to our mingle of warm days and cool mornings and evenings.
It is a short and sweet weekend view this week. I am on the road for a family thing today so keeping it simple.
The roses are blooming away in the garden and there are a whole lot of buds just waiting to open up. I am hoping with the warm weather next week, it will encourage them and we will have a nice flush of blooms by the fountain.
Our family day each week is always full of fun and busy busy. This week the kids came to our place so that Juliette could see the goats and chickens and run around like a wild woman. It was a little too chilly for the babies to sit in the pool but they enjoyed the sandbox and playing inside the house.
Pumpkin Patch Babies
This week the babies were enjoying the pumpkin patch – stacking pumpkins and playing with them. We did our best to get them all together for a photo- but they were not interested in any of that lol. So we just grabbed a few of the boys individually- Juliette was far too busy doing all the things to take a photo haha.
Curly bird is finally growing his curly feathers back- just in time for the colder weather. He is a frizzled silkie and they have very fragile feathers. He molted earlier this year and it has taken him a bit to grow those new curly feathers back in. I pulled out some of the chicken sweaters I bought for the ladies last year when they were broody. He almost got the strawberry sweater to keep him warm- which is probably why he decided he better grow those feathers back quickly haha. This is a snap from a video of Curly waiting on the steps for a few blueberries.
