Caramel Drizzled Apples

Caramel Drizzled apples sprinkled with almonds

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Skewers

Materials

  • 1 10 oz bag Salted or other variety caramels
  • 4 Apples Granny Smith or other variety
  • 1 Cup Chopped Almonds or other nuts
  • 4 pieces Skewers

Instructions

  • Unwrap your caramels and place them into your saucepan. Add 2 tbsp of water.
  • Heat over low -medium heat and stir continuously until your caramels are melted.
  • Skewer your apple and dip in the caramel. Turn the apple to coat it fully and place on wax paper or a muffin wrapper.
  • Drizzle another round of caramel on the top of the apple in a zig zag form and sprinkle with nuts- making sure to press some in a bit to get them to stick.
  • Cool in refrigerator for 10 minutes to set and serve at room temperature.
