What is it about ruffles?
On bedding.
On tables.
Pillows & draperies
Ruffles are quintessentially romantic
They bring shabby vintage
yumminess to a room or space.
The romantics in us love a ruffles for their sweet frillyliciousness
& their layers and layers and layers
of charm & romance.
I found these ruffled pretties recently and used
2 of them as a tablecloth
on my outdoor farm table table for a romantic
early evening tablescape.
A little vintage china
a little silver
a little bling
&
pretty pink roses
mixed with a lot of ruffle…
perfect.
These are bedskirts which I found at
They have dreamy white …
and creamy off white which looks like a tea stained linen- so divine.
I didn’t buy them to use as bedskirts…
I had a few ideas in mind for them when I saw them.
The tablecloth was one of them.
I would love to make them into a duvet for my bed-
the one at Urban Outfitters talks to me every time I see it…
but not loving their price.
For now,
I am enjoying the beautiful white layers on my farmhouse table.
I’ve been making some changes out in the backyard…
hopefully it will be finished enough to share soon!
Have a Happy romantic Sunday everyone!
🙂
*Since I have had several questions about these:
These are King size in white.
They are big on a table for sure-
but I was thinking about that duvet 😉
so I wanted the correct size.
The top material is a bit slick (maybe nylon?)
but it works and the ruffles are linen.
I haven’t sewn it yet-
just pinned them together to create a nice drop for the table.
They are at Overstock for $33.99*
🙂

Interesting use of the bedskirt! I bought the ivory one for my bed early spring at Stein Mart…a local store. I'll have to check the prices at O.co and see what the white costs…for a table cover! 🙂

How much of a drop was the bedskirt? And also is it the same length on both sides when you use it as a tablecloth?
