It is Christmas Eve.
The house is bustling. The trees are twinkling. The kitchen is a little on the messy side and the oven has been working overtime baking cookies and getting everything ready
for Christmas dinner.
And before I take a little bit of a break to simply ‘simmer’ and enjoy the season with my family- I wanted to come here and wish you a Merry Christmas and
say thank you.
French Country Cottage has grown and changed so much this year. And since I started this blog back.in.the.day- it has continued to grow and change and become so much more than I ever imagined it would be. And that is because of all of you.
Because of your visits everyday.
Because of your comments and shares and enthusiasm that inspire me to try new things, to do more and to take that next baby step towards the next goal.
Because each of you take the time to read my ramblings each day, to leave me notes and cheer on my crazy ideas and new ventures.
Thank you for letting me into your inboxes and for your support – of my blog, of my book, my designs and French Country Cottage brand- and your support of me.
I am so grateful to each of you for being here and being a part of the French Country Cottage Family.
Without you- French Country Cottage would not be what it is.
It is Christmas Eve.
And today, I am sharing a favorite post from the past that sums up some of what I feel every year.
The memories, the smiles, the tears. all those moments wrapped up
from several years ago.
It was during a time when I was struggling a little bit honestly.
Because of the life season we were in and it was a time when everything felt a little bittersweet.
And that night, it was like time was zooming by and at the same time-
standing absolutely still.
It was a dark night full of twinkle lights & Santa hats
in an old bar
in a not so great part of town.
It was almost Christmas and it was all of a sudden so quiet
before that first note started to play…
A guitar strummed the first note.
And then a familiar chord started up.
Played by the best band in the world.
Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas and blessed holiday season.
