For the 11th Tree of Christmas… my true love gave to me… a wee tabletop Christmas tree in a crate that was full of personality.
Okay, this may or may not be the 11th tree. To be honest, I have been decking the halls a bit more than usual and working on decorating trees that are not at our house – so I may have lost track of just which one it is. But I THINK it is number 11. 😂 Either way, I wanted to share this cute little tree that sits in our little sunroom foyer. So many times I have heard in the French Country Cottage Christmas Group or questions from you on just how do you decorate a small space with a small tree and still get all that Christmas tree magic? So I am sharing a small tree that has ornaments and ribbons and everything else that a full size tree has. I actually have a couple more that I will be sharing in a post that is all about decorating wee trees.
A wee tabletop tree
You know, sometimes the most beautiful things come in the smallest packages- and tiny little Christmas trees are one of those things. I love tiny trees- whether grouped together or by themselves. And this one- such a sweet little twinkling tree in the background.
Natural touches & Candles
This tree has natural touches like orange slices and pomanders, pinecones and some ‘faux fruit and berries’ for a little extra. But not to much of course- since it is a little tiny tree. I also added some clip on candles for a little extra fun.
Ribbons and Bows
I did add a couple of ribbons- I am telling you there is a ribbon theme over here this year haha. I didn’t add a ton- and these are neutral mushroom color velvet that simply filled up the tree visually since I wasn’t add a TON of ornaments.
Wee Vintage Deer
These belonged to my grandmother and every time I see them -they remind me of Christmas at her house. There are just 2 of them- but they fit right in perfectly on the tree.
Wood Crate
A simple and easy ‘tree skirt’ or base for a small tree that adds a whole other layer of lovely. I love using wood crates like this vintage one.
On the Table
I simply placed this tree on a small round table that is usually in this room with a pair of chairs and settee – it is kind of like a little breakfast spot. I changed the usual cane back chairs for the photos-the full backs add a little softness to the outdoor light with the stormy weather currently.

I think this tree has a whole lot of twinkle, charm and magic in a small size- just like a full size tree. What do you think of how it turned it?
Stay tuned for one of my favorite trees this year coming your way to wrap up our 12 Trees- (plus more decking the halls. It is hard to believe it is almost Christmas! Happy Monday all.

This so charming and just whaT we need. I have gone to the site and looked at this tree. I have a question…how did you put the tree in the stand, and into a crate? The tree stand is Wide.
Thank you…i love Your posts Throughout the whole yEar …. But especially Christmas.

Hi there- this tree stand actually fit snugly into this crate so it worked perfectly. But depending on how large your wood crate it- you may have to just prop it a different way. I would suggest to try using large rocks or something like that to fill the crate all around the tree bottom to help prop it up. If you have a large enough crate- just place the stand tight inside the crate and then put the tree into it. Hope that helps.

BEAUTIFUL wee tree. Love the crate too. I believe ribbons are the thing this year and love it. You can use sheet strips for primitive/farmhouse trees to satIn and velVet for more ELABORATE trees. Love 💕 all your gor trees. Merry Christmas!🎄

If this isn’t just the perfect little tree…in it’s own humble wooden crate to support it. Good advice, by the way…rocks are your friend! franki
