I am SO DONE with winter and am
thinking of a little bit of spring for the sideboard!
Just a little touch…
A wee little birds nest sits just so in a miniature rusty urn
& holds a little blue speckled egg.
Placed inside a tall wire cloche
on a dainty pedestal surrounded by a white berry wreath
It whispers spring is coming…
The delightful blooms in the painting behind it
make me think…
Of warmer days…
sweet blossoms in bloom
and the smell of fresh cut green grass.
Happy March Everyone!!!
🙂

Thanks for hosting; I just love this blog !
Amy Chalmers says
Courtney! Thank you for featuring my "drapes"!! I noticed on your party that even a lot of the images are not loading as pictures….what the heck is going on with Blogger? At least your post is loading with an image, it has really cut back folks reading my posts, as it shows only my signature. I think your party is a great take. By the way, I remember your pergola and wanting to do a similar thing myself. How horrid it got damaged!! Will you be posting on that?
Christie says
Love your little birds nest in the cage 🙂 I tried last night to link up to your party…but the at your blog linky wouldn't take my picture…it said it was too big and needed resizing…I tried to figure out how to do that but couldn't…I didn't have to do that with other linking parties, it's probably something on my end or the linky you use…honey, it's a wonder I can even put up a blog post with my level of computer expertise lol! If I can figure out how to resize a picture so that it will be the right size for your linky…I'll join in your party another time 🙂
Big hugs,
Queenie

Hello Courtney! March is SUCH a tease — little sprouts in the border, tiny buds on some trees — I cannot WAIT for April! Your nests are charming, and remind me to check if last summer's tiny birds' nests in our grape arbor survived this rough winter. I hope so!
Have a lovely weekend, and keep thinking Spring.

Adore your display! The starfish really make it for me, simply beautiful! Can't wait for spring either, just when we think it's coming- another cold snap! This post definitely warmed me up a bit though, and I've got my own little project planned this weekend to "spring-up" our living room a bit. Thanks for the extra kick of motivation!
