It all started with silver & gold.
And yes, I fell head over heels for something.
And yes, they came home with me because...entertaining season is here.
From impromptu evenings with friends to a house full for Thanksgiving
to an simple yet elegant Christmas dinner.
And I am so excited to share a slightly decadent table setting with you today
that was put together for the Farmhouse Series
with HomeGoods.
As I mentioned, it all started with Silver & Gold...
namely, these amazing silver serving domes.
You might have seen a sneak peek of them on instagram and facebook
(and yes, that indoor table setting is coming your way soon as well)
and today- I am sharing much more.
I am a huge fan of setting inspired tables.
Especially outdoors under the stars with the beauty and ambiance of nature all around.
And being in California, we are fortunate to often enjoy being outdoors at
Thanksgiving and Christmas.
And those silver dome covers?
On the table outdoors, they reflected the trees and the sky
and they just made my heart soar as I photographed them.
I was so lucky to walk into HomeGoods and find several of these silver plate dome covers
complete with large platters one day.
It was like it was the skies opened up and a beam of beautiful light shone down
and there they were all together on a table.
And then there they were all together in my cart.
;)
I know you know that feeling as you do that little dance and shout 'score'.
I might have been THAT girl in HomeGoods that day.
I mixed the new silver domes with a couple vintage I already had to round out the table
and called it good.
I am a fan of mixing metals- and silver, gold, brass, you name it
it is all on the table.
The centerpiece started with simple eucalyptus
and I added vintage brass candlesticks
glitter covered bells and dainty little vintage inspired ornaments.
I lucked out finding a fresh bunch of peonies at the market
and they were perfect placed into several vintage silver trophies
for a touch of romance.
And sprinkled little candles here and there for ambiance.
I stayed with the silver theme
with this flatware that is so simple and elegant.
It has a polished mirror finish and is just stunning in person.
A touch of gold detail on these goblets were perfect
And one of my absolute favorite style breadboards is a great serving board for
dessert.
Something I always think of when hosting a dinner outdoors is comfort.
Keeping a basket of chunky knits or faux fur throws handy is a perfect way for guests to wrap up
in if a chill sets in.
And the bar cart area got a bit of a sprinkle of Christmas cheer as well.
Heavy brass reindeer and glittery trees add a festive touch.
And I might have picked up a couple more decanters to mix with the vintage as well.
And one.more.spot...
I also like to dress up the patio area when entertaining
for guests to have a spot to sit by the fire.
and open a little treat.
Today I am excited to be offering a $100 giveaway to HomeGoods-
which definitely will come in handy this holiday season.
You can enter on the widget and leave me a comment on this post!
